Stainless Steel Finishes
Stainless steel can have many different finishes. Each finish has its unique characteristics. Finishes like #4 Satin, #6 Long Grain, #7 Vibration, #8 Mirror, and sandblasted are just a few we have worked with over the years.
#4 Satin Finish
This finish is also known as the short-grain finish. All the lines are in one direction. This is one of the most popular stainless finishes you will see out there.
#6 Long Grain Finish
This is a popular architectural finish. Its long directional lines go well with tall structures. The smooth and fine finish also works well for handles and other frequently touched objects.
#7 Vibration Finish
This random pattern grain finish is very effective in hiding minor scratches. The controlled randomness of the pattern is very aesthetically pleasing to look at.
#8 Mirror Polish Finish
A mirror-like polish really can bring the shine out of the stainless steel material. This cosmetic finish can be combined with other finishes to create a very unique look.
#13 Sandblasted Finish
The texture can vary in size and density. This is just one of the many sandblasted finishes we can create on a stainless steel surface.
Two-tone Combination
There are endless combinations of two or more finishes and it is an effective way to break up a large monotonous surface. In the picture above we have a #8 Mirror polish finish and a #4 Satin finish.
